The Second Volume in the Scratch Sullivan Paranormal Post-Apocalyptic Action Novel Series
Former Army Ranger and Afghanistan war vet Scratch Sullivan has adapted well to the zombie apocalypse. Or, as well as can be expected, considering that society has collapsed, the population is decimated, and Scratch hunts monsters for a living. But hey, at least he's still living.
Thing is, Scratch is happy enough with the odd job killing THEM and occasionally shacking up with his on and off girlfriend, Kara. But when Scratch is tipped off to a potential undead incursion into the safe zone he protects, he's forced to head straight into the heart of the deadlands to find the truth about the threat he faces...
If you're a fan of the zombie apocalypse military genre, or if you love post-apocalyptic zombie fiction in general, then you're sure to relish spending time killing Z's with Scratch Sullivan. And fans of vampire apocalypse and Western horror books will also surely revel in the vampire hunting action in the Scratch Sullivan series.
THEM Incursion is a paranormal take on the end of the world as we know it, post-apocalyptic Western, SHTF fiction at its gory best. Get your copy today and discover the twisted, dystopian, Southern-fried, post-apocalyptic world of Scratch Sullivan and THEM.
(Note: THEM Incursion is the second book in the Scratch Sullivan Paranormal Post-Apocalyptic Action Novel Series, and was previously published as "THEM: The Complete First Season, Episodes 1-4")

Scratch is something else. It took me a while to get used to him, but once I was, I could not get enough of his crazy ways. Only offputting bit about this current one is the story doesn’t match up with the prequel. I only noticed because I listened to these back to back. It’s not enough to keep me away from listening more, but it does change Scratch’s story a bit. Which is sad. I fell in love with the prequel so the change threw me a little.

That aside, this book is a lot like the first; an action packed thrill ride. There’s a bit more to everything that is happening and there are even some questions that get answered, although the answers are closer to the end of the book.

Although a bit longer than my usual reads, this is so full of drama that I didn’t even realize how much time was passing. Scratch is always getting himself into some kind of drama and in this world where there are zombies, vampires, and all sorts of other weird goings on, there is a lot to get into!

Then there’s the fact that Scratch is basically your average guy that is just trying to look out for his friends. He’s always putting his own life in danger because he will do anything to keep his people safe. The fact that he’s part Mexican makes everyone think he’s a dumby and he loves their racist attitudes because he can slip in under the radar while people are trusting, just so he can outsmart them at every move.

There are also a lot of throwbacks in this. So many that I wound up not writing any down but I laugh every time. A lot of them are 80’s references that people may not really get today, and some of the characters don’t either, which makes it even better. Scratch is the one saying them most of the time, trying to teach his underlings a thing or two about life without the deaders.

Seriously, I started listening to the first book with a lot of trepidation. Now I’m hooked. Onto book three!
