28th – May 4th – How many books have you re-read? If you have re-read books, please tell us the book’s title and why you re-read it. (submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews)

Earlier in April I talked about meeting Terry Pratchett. I re-read his Discworld novels every year. I don’t always get to all 40, but I get close. His books just breathe life into me, especially on the bad days. They make me laugh, and cry, and forget that life can be hard sometimes.

Other than those, I have re-read Stephen King, Clive Barker, Anne Rice, and Robert R. McCammon. I just recently started re-reading Lilian Jackson Braun’s Cat Who stories. I haven’t read the entire series so I’m reading from the top! I have also been thinking about reading Nancy Drew again. I haven’t read those since I was really young!

The one other series I try to re-read often is Clan of the Cave Bear. I read that when I was in my early teens and it helped me get through some really tragic moments. I was planning on naming my daughter Ayla after the main character but my mom talked me out of it. That story and those characters stay with me even when I don’t re-read.

What books do you love to re-read?
