The outbreak might be over, but the nightmare is just beginning...
Rebekah vows to expose the truth behind the RecruitZ that are killing the innocents. These creatures must be stopped, but so should the people controlling them. When Rebekah uncovers who is behind the uprisings, her own life becomes in danger.
Rebekah knows that she is not alone in this fight but vengeance alone won't help her and the others to victory. It is up to her to uncover the truth for the public before the world is turned over to an elite few.
Regardless of what may happen to her, she knows it's a race against time to destroy these creatures and the monsters controlling them before there is no one left worth saving.
Must Read Book One!
This picked up RIGHT where it left off in book one. All of the drama, the cliff hanger, everything starts again!
It’s kind of funny because I read quite a bit so I was worried that I would not remember this. As soon as I started it all came crashing back. I would have prefered a bit more of a hint as to the previous book as they are so far apart. For the most part my memory was able to keep up.
Characters are thrilling, engaging, and persistent!
Rebekah is just as great as she was in book one! It starts with them getting captured and the drama does not end there. It just keeps getting more and more intense as they try to find TRAC. Preston is seriously in the picture now too! I really like that guy! I think his character helps build Rebekah. She’s strong but nobody can be strong forever.
This is not a zombie book
Ok, so it is about zombies, yes… sort of. The main plot is not. There is so much more to this! The zombie invasion is over, people are getting vaccinated, it’s a new world. BUT there are still some serious dangers! I love that Karice Bolton is able to do this so well. Zombie books are nearly a dime a dozen now so you have to bring something to the table that hasn’t been done before, or at least has a fresh vibe. All of Karice’s book have a vibe that make you want to stick with them!
Only downside for me…
The only down thing was that this seemed more of like a thriller. I’m not a huge thriller lover but the plot twists kept me turning those pages!
In short: I’m a Karice Bolton fan… but really, even if you don’t take my fangirling as proof, pick up one of her stories. You will fall in love!
