You can’t tiptoe when murder’s afoot…
It’s Bastille Day in Paris. The Happy Hoofers—Tina, Janice, Pat, Mary Louise, and Gini—are all set to kick off the fete by dancing the cancan on a beautiful sightseeing cruise down the Seine. As the leggy ladies soak in the magic of the city of lights, everything is magnifique…until a very important patron goes belly-up on the top deck.
On the heels of their French debut, murder takes center stage. The five daring dancers will need to step lively to stop the crafty killer fast…or their grand finale will turn out far more explosive than the fireworks over the Eiffel Tower…

This is set in Paris and the way Mary sets out the scenes it is nearly like you are there! Beautiful descriptions with a lot of French thrown in, which didn’t totally throw me off and was mostly fun!
This is about a group of gals that are tap dancers set up to dance on July 14 on a riverboat! Can there be anything more fun?! The gals themselves are adorable. Each different in their own ways.
Sadly, this is my first time reading Mary McHugh so although I loved the plot I was not totally into the book. It seems like it can be read (as I did) without reading any of the other books in the series but at times I felt like I was missing portions of the plot. Meeting the gals was a very quick moment and then the plot moves along. Although, having not read the synopsis for a while, I was curious if this was a first because there is a lot of background added in.
It was cute enough for me to want to read the others in the series. I stopped about halfway through, not to DNF (do not finish) but because I really want to get to know the characters more and then I’ll come back to this one.
Also!! I was surprised to find some recipes! A little gift from the author! They sound fabulous too!
