Welcome back to Jewell Cove, where this holiday season, there happens to be no room at the inn...
When a December Nor'easter roars up the eastern seaboard, Jewell Cove cop Todd Ricker spends his day off being a Good Samaritan to stranded holiday travelers. But when the roads close and Todd can't make his way home, he discovers that the Evergreen Inn is full up. Until another Good Samaritan opens her doors and offers him a place to stay...
Lainey Price is not looking forward to Christmas, but just because she's not filled with the holiday spirit doesn't mean she's going to turn Todd out into the stormy night. Even if it means offering the handsome police officer the couch in her tiny cottage. But when the weather takes a turn for the worse, the two are snowed in for a wintry evening by the fire. With Christmas only a few days away, can Todd convince Lainey to open her heart to the season...and love?
This is another one that is really short so there is not a whole lot of plot to stick with you once you’re done and yet I do vaguely remember really enjoying this one. At 92 pages being able to remember that I enjoyed it a year later is pretty impressive. This is another I’m going to re-read this holiday season just for fun! Definitely keeping my review at 5/5 stars.
This ended too soon! I want another 100 pages please!
I have not read any other in this series but after reading this, I’m a fan! This is Jewell Cove 3.5 so just a short but it was such a lovely short!
The two main characters have known each other for basically their entire lives. Of course something always keeps them away from the other. Todd Ricker has always had a crush on Lainey Price but he also feels like she is just way out of his league. They have stayed away from each other (by chance, not really on purpose) until they are thrown together one evening when Todd is helping out a visitor to Jewell Cove.
Todd gets stuck and has to stay at the Evergreen Inn, but Lainey doesn’t have any room, so she gives him her couch.
I just love this. They know each other so they are timid but yet not. It seems totally reasonable and crazy at the same time. The story is really short but fabulous.
