Noel Harper got a second chance at life when the government recruited her as an undercover vampire informant. Since the day they brought her back from the good-as-dead, she has wanted to prove herself worthy.

When a member of her investigative unit is murdered, Noel is paired up with a vampire hunter named Dante to spy on a suspect in Fairbanks. The problem? They're not the only ones on stakeout. Taking down murderous vampires is one thing. Dealing with the past is another. But this time, Noel isn't letting fear win. She's calling in help from the other side and discovers a shocking secret along the way.

(STAKEOUT is an Aurora Sky: Vampire Hunter novella told from Noel Harper’s POV. Approximately 54,000 words.)

My Thoughts

This one is from Noel’s point of view. I do not really love reading a book when I’ve already read one side of the story but the great thing about this particular book is that we only saw when Noel and Aurora were together in the previous two. So this one gives us an entirely different part of the story.

And it also gives a lot more detail that wasn’t provided from Aurora because she didn’t know about it. Like what happens at the end of book two. I was shocked and this book answered all of those questions. I also really didn’t understand Noel anymore. From Aurora’s point of view this girl has gone off the deep end and this book shows why. Noel is a silent type and tends to stay to herself so seeing from her perspective added so much to the story.

The ending to this was great. And I was yelling because the bad stuff that is happening for Aurora, Noel doesn’t know about. I just wanted her to know! But of course she can’t.

I cannot wait to get into the next book!

Enjoy vampires? This is a fresh take! You’ll want to read these.

This series is awesome! A little catty at times (hahah pun just for you!) but really good overall.
