This time of the year can be so stressful for people but it really doesn’t have to be! Here’s 25 days to help you get ready and have fun with your family on Christmas (or any holiday!!!)
I love buying gifts! LOVE IT! But money only goes so far so you have to be a little creative.
First thing I do is decide what amount of money I’m willing to spend (or the bank account is willing to give me!). This year it’s right around $35.00. I feel like $35.00 is a nice safe, happy number. $25 seems too low for the cute things I want to buy but $50 is a tad high for EVERY person, so this year $35 it is!!
First thing I do is look at sales! You can find so many cool things at places like Zulilly! Also, have an idea of what they are fans of. I have a brother-in-law that loves football and his favorite team is the Lions. My hubby loved The Redskins. I cannot go wrong with anything in those categories! The NFL shop has sales also so you can really get some cool deals if you search and play around!
Then there are go to places for kids, like Disney. Disney is always having sales of one kind of another. Just be careful because if they have multiple sales going on, like free shipping on an order or $75 or more, they may not work with other sales. That happened to me the other day!
If you have a trendy gal in your family you can always go with tried and true things like scarves. Infinity scarves can be so interesting! Just because you aren’t spending $200.00 on someone does NOT mean you don’t have to get something that makes a statement.
My mother-in-law just got a Keurig so I’m thinking of putting together a cute little basket of varying Keurig coffees, teas, and cocoa. They are like $5 to $10 each so the way we can get around this is by giving her a few samples of the ones we already have. Once the entire basket is pretty full I can add in fun things like Jellies, or my new favorite treat, Big Slice Pouches!!
The secret is to think outside of the box! Set a limit for each person and remember to have fun! Gift buying doesn’t have to be stressful!
What’s your favorite thing about buying gifts? Have you found anything unique yet?
