on Summer 2014
Fun-loving Clara is keeping a dark and deadly secret from William, the love of her life.
Not because she wants to hide things from him, but because her story is so unbelievable he will probably think she’s crazy.
If she tells him, she could lose him. If she doesn’t tell him, she will.

What a really cute, easy to read romance! I loved both main characters and really felt like getting to know them felt right with the plot.
Clara is very interesting and I had added up all of the clues and came out with a totally wrong assumption! I love when that happens! Although, hindsight being 20/20 I wouldn’t be surprised if many figured this out way in the beginning. Stacy Claflin leaves clues on purpose and Clara actually talks to people about what she is, so it’s no secret (really).
William is a really great main character. I like how he grows throughout the book. Just when I started to doubt him, his fabulous character would shine through. It was lovely to see that chivalry truly isn’t dead, even when William was facing a very strong paternal line!
His parents are interesting also, which I love. Too many YA / NA have no parents at all! William’s parents were quite the opposite. They wanted to be involved in every part of his life. Almost in an overbearing but very loveable way. And this is one of the many obstacles that their relationship faces.
But, here’s the weird thing, some of these obstacles seem a little forced. It felt like drama just to have drama. Not all of the obstacles, like William’s parents, but some at the character arc portions of the book. And these obstacles frustrated me rather than helped me to see their relationship in a greater light, they wound up taking away from the story. Especially the entire episode with Nichole and what happened to get William to her house. It was a bit too much for me.
All in all though, I loved the ending. I loved how things went along after all that drama. I also really like the character Tobias and I’m hoping that there will be another book just about him. I really like him even though he’s just a side character! I can totally imagine him being the hot, lead romantic character!
In short! Really cute! A few bumps in the road but nothing to stop the car for! 😉
I love writing, reading, and watching most anything paranormal. My favorite shows include Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, Fringe, Pretty Little Liars, and Once Upon a Time.
I’ve been writing and telling stories for as long as I can remember. As a kid, my story telling would get me into trouble when I would try to convince others that my stories were real.
When I’m not busy writing, I spend time with my family. I also run a home preschool and educate my kids from home.
