High Summer Read a Thon Wrap Up

July 23, 2012 Read a thon 5

This High Summer Read a Thon was all about relaxed reading and fun. And although I didn’t get as much read as I wanted, I did pick up some books that I may not have before!

Finished:

Started:

  • A Small Town Near Auschwitz by Mary Fulbrook
  • The Power of Intention: Learning to Co-create Your World Your Way by Wayne W. Dyer
  • Kiss of the Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Mostly I feel like I did a good job. I wanted to finish four books but with my bouncing around I probably did finish another book but couldn’t keep my mind situated on one! I didn’t get to start The Demon Catchers of Milan sadly! My Nook decided it was not going to accept it so I’ll have to figure that out today. BUT I did spend some time working on my blog as well as getting a few reviews in, so yay! Overall I would say this week was a success!

Giveaway! Congrats to:

Halo by Alexandra Adornetto goes to Little Miss Drama Queen!

Dangerous to Know by Tasha Alexander goes to Bippity Boppity Book!

*** Winners.. I will send you an email getting all your details, etc and the books will be sent out Thursday! Grats again! ***

And for you read a thon addicts like myself, Seasons of Reading will have their next Read A Thon starting Oct 1st!

So bummed I didn’t win. Oh, well. Next time! Thanks for hosting the challenge this time!

You did great. We all always feel bad that we had better intentions but I think at least we put alot of time into promoting and reading books and writing, plus talking to one another. That’s what counts!

    Talk to you soon!

Completely agree! Although those two days in there I literally had books calling my name! My husband just laughs at me. Thankfully he reads quite a bit also so he understands.

You did great, Nova! Thanks again for hosting the mini-challenge. Congrats to your winners! I hope you enjoyed the week and I see that you already have October planned. Good! I can’t wait. 🙂 Be sure to add your link to the wrap-up post at Seasons of Reading by 10am CST Tuesday (today).

I’m hosting a write-a-thon in August or September and I’m just trying to decide when. If you’re interested in participating, stop by The True Book Addict and vote in the poll (top right sidebar).

Ohhh I am definitely interested and I saw the poll but any date is good for me so I didn’t want to mess with the dates. ANY date! I’ll be there with bells on!! <3
