Little Boy Blue

I’ll put my little boy blue

in a cradle of glue

where he can sleep for days

and the nightmares will never

frighten him awake.

I’ll keep watch by his side

all day and night

and the pure milk will hold his place,

keep his small fragile body safe

until the day comes

when he chokes on the paste.
