A new short story from Mira Grant, the author of Feed. Every week five friends get together to play a game-- a game they call the Apocalypse Game. It's a fun time with chips and beer and plotting the end of the world. Except this time, one of them is missing and the stakes are higher than ever before.

I had a pretty big issue with this one. Mainly because I have read nearly all of Mira Grant’s books so I had hopes. I have to say this has to be read in order. I think I screwed up by reading this way, way out of order. Basically I am reading book ONE last. Enough said right? To make up for it, I may just re-read the whole Newsflesh series this year!
The book itself is a pretty good set up for her Newsflesh series. It is only 21 pages long so be ready to not dig TOO deeply into anything. That’s the great thing about all of these novellas that she has come out with, they really add to the story, giving a completely different view to this apocalypse.
Interestingly, the main character is not even in the book, but speaks to her friends from a recording. Love the set up!
If you have not read the Newsflesh series, start with this one! It is so short but such an intriguing start.
