November!!

I will miss you October. You were so lovely to me!

I think October may be my favorite month of the year. I talked my hubby into watching some scary movies and I read and listened to some fantastically scary books! The only downside? I know that it is going to start getting cold? And by start I mean, I’m currently wearing three layers and have my space heater pointed directly at me! ARGH!! I hate the cold!

On a plus, November and December are always fantastic and I have so many plans for both months. A lot of reading but some vacation time too 😀

My laptop, which was a beautiful Alien with buttons that lit up like a rainbow, finally died BUT the hubby talked me into getting a Windows Surface! My old laptop was a monster at 17″ and I could not actually take that thing anywhere! Traveling to my sister’s put me into convulsions because this thing was so freaking heavy. So now I’m looking at the gorgeous Surface which is so light and has a detachable keyboard AND a freaking touchscreen!! What?! Yes, please! I think I’m getting spoiled but I’m not going to tell the Hubby that!

Anyone use a Surface before? The big question is: Can it also replace my baby Kindle?!

I am also two weeks into my Philosophy class. This instructor is killing me! I tell him that I think all animals have an inherent value and right to life (yes I eat meat and I feel really guilty about it) and he tells me that there are microbes in my body that are bad for me and if I take medicine would I then be a murderer? OYYYY! I thought I would enjoy you Phi208 but you’re just pissing me off!

As for reading, I think I hit the jackpot for some evil and some great books.

My favs are:

What was your fav read for Oct? Anything scary?

Ooh a Surface—lucky you! I see the commercials and drool over it, but hubby says not this year 🙁
I’m not sure what kind of kindle you have–is it a Fire? If so, then I guess you are wanting to read books and watch tv on it too. I can’t answer that one for you. Good luck with it though.

You have a lot of good stuff planned for November and December so enjoy all your events and reviews; I for one will be reading each one as it comes into my box (which will be a lot since you are saving a ton of scheduled posts, lol!).

It is a Kindle Fire and I love that thing! But sadly I’ve had it over two years and I think it’s starting to go on the fritz. The battery is low too so it’s either a kindle and looking at a lap top or get them all in one! Which I hope getting it all in one will work. The hubby has a Nook and that plays anime for him but, I don’t know… watching TV on my kindle seems weird to me.

You’re so great! I do have a lot coming up but I’m loving it!

Looks busy busy here:) A Surface. Lucky you!
I love October too. All those scary movies and books. That’s me! And now it’s on to Thanksgiving and Christmas. More fun but I don’t care for cooler weather. I want to be able to sit outside and read and swim year round. The water is already getting almost too cold.

I totally agree! We had the heater on this morning! I just wanted to hibernate in bed all day. Not looking forward to winter at all.

Oh my word. Your teacher and I would be clashing heads a lot I think. lol Yay for new toys! I don’t know if I’ve seen that one. I almost went with a touch screen with my last laptop purchase but then though of the herd and how helpful they are and nopes! That would have been crazy challenging. lol

Hope you have a great week and get all settled in with your new electronics!

OH my! I bet they would be. I have a lap pup that likes to touch my Kindle while I read. It’s normally ok until she lays on it and it changes like 50%!

I did just bring my coat out from the very back of the closet! It has a fur collar and sleeves! YAY!

If you have a Kindle Fire I would bet the Surface could replace it. I have a Fire with I use as a tablet but I didn’t find it particularly great to read on (my Fire is the big one so it’s heavy to hold after awhile.). The Surface looks really great! Hope you enjoy it! It definitely sounds like October has treated you right. I’m with you on the whole cold thing. I’ve spent the last few days wrapped in a blanket with some serious layers. Cold and I don’t get along. Have a great week!

Layers are so awesome aren’t they? It’s starting to warm up and it’s still 55 out! Thankfully I live in the South.

It really was but I love my months busy especially while the hubby is traveling. If you’re doing NaNoWriMo I would definitely not do the blog one. Anna said she is going to change the month next year so it doesn’t coincide. I think that’ll be good news for a lot of people.
