March 14: Top Ten Books On My Spring TBR
So excited for Spring! This house has so many doors and windows that I can just open up and let the air in and the dogs (and dog hair) out! I also just recently bought a huge swivel chair, big enough for me and another one of my giant mutts, to sit in and enjoy a good book. Which means I see more reading in my future.
Funnily enough, while making this list I was overlooking the stuff I’m specifically reading over the next two months and I noticed a trend. Nonfiction Cookbooks, Sci Fi, and Mystery. I guess I’m not going too far out of my comfort zone but that’s what summer is for! Sadly, no horror on my TBR but I think I’ve had enough horror for a lifetime, or at least the beginning of 2017.
I’m really looking forward to the cozy mysteries though. I can’t seem to get enough of them! I actually could have done a Top Ten Cozy Mysteries but I guess I’ll save that for later. I’m torn between being most excited about the British Cookbook and Dream Me! Here’s hoping that both are fabulous!
Love to get my hands on some great cookbooks. I have a few to read this spring!
- The Really Quite Good British Cookbook – Nonfiction
- Mighty Salads – Nonfiction
- Simplified Nutrition and Weight Management from the Perpetual Student- Nonfiction
- No Meat Athlete Cookbook – Nonfiction
No. 2 Feline Detective Agency – Cozy Mystery
This looks adorable! A cozy mystery but with cats doing all the detecting.
Brew or Die – Cozy Mystery
Loving this series! So excited for another. I’m in a cozy mystery mood lately!
Mother’s Day, Muffins, and Murder – Cozy Mystery
This is actually book 10 in the series. I haven’t read any of the others so I’m hoping I can get into this one without a problem. Cozy mysteries are normally okay for that. Fingers crossed!
Defy the Stars – Sci Fi
This sounds so Sci Fi and maybe a bit out of my comfort zone, which is great. Love, love, love the cover!
Dream Me – Sci Fi
Another Sci Fi! A bit more up my alley this time though. Sounds incredible and horrific!
The Space Between the Stars – Dystopian/Sci Fi
Another Sci Fi outside of Earth! This seems a bit more like a long lost love story, so I’m giving myself a pass for this one. How romantic, to literally travel the galaxy to find your lost love. Ackugh, I’m dying.
What books are you excited to read this spring?
