Ten Fairytale Retellings I’ve Read/Want To Read (or you could do fairytales I want to be retold or fairytales I love)
I absolutely love, love, love this book. The cover is also amazing! Looking back at my review, I’m surprised I only gave it 4 stars. I’ve remembered this one for the last two years!
While this is an erotic book (completely) I think many would enjoy this retelling. It is quite different from many of the Sleeping Beauties out there and as such possesses its own uniqueness that sets it apart from the other retellings. But you have to enjoy reading erotica to enjoy this.
This one was a bit more difficult for me. Alice in Wonderland has always been one of my favorites but the way this one was done pretty much threw me off. Book one was good but I lost the feeling for the series very early on. Even so, I admit to wanting to read the rest of the series. Maybe after taking so much time off from it I will have gained more perspective… maybe.
- Stiching Snow by R.C. Lewis
A Sci Fi twist on a fairy tale retelling! Not something that happens often, that’s for sure!
Another interesting twist on Cinderella!
Haven’t read but want to read:
Completely unforgivable I know! Some of these have been out for so long! Alice in Zombieland I actually have sitting on my bookshelf collecting dust! My Name is Rapunzel I saw long before it was published and still have not read it. Wicked is also on my bookshelf, the gorgeous hardcover, and my daughter tells me every year that I really need to read this but for some reason I can never get into it. I have picked it up a few times, just haven’t stayed involved. I just came upon Spelled and that looks exciting but Cinder has been on my TBR forever also. Sooner or later I’ll get to these fabulous books!
What about you? What’s your favorite fairytale retelling? Do you have books sitting there just waiting to be read also?
