Top Ten Authors I’ve Read The Most Books From:

Terry Pratchett is first on this list because I read and re-read nearly his entire Discworld series every year. He was an amazing man, delightful writer, and I’m still missing him like he was my very own family.

Dean Koontz, Stephen King,  and Clive Barker all get mentioned because although I have not read some of these authors in a while, I have read almost every single word they have ever written down! They are my top favorite authors of my life. I read Stephen King to my sister when we were kids (yes I’m strange and my sister is screwed up thanks to me) and Clive Barker has always been a personal favorite!

JK Rowling! Of course! I mean, how can I live without reading and rereading the Harry Potter books? I love them all and must go reread them soon!

Phillipa Gregory also stands out on her own. Her books are fantastically wonderful. She brings history to life in such an amazing and tangible way.

Mira Grant and Rick Gualitari are sort of on the same scale. Zombies and Vampires but as you see from my list horror is one of my go to favorites. These two are fantastic writers and I always jump at the chance to read.

Not being a lover of romance there are obviously not many romance writers here. Tess Thompson and Nicky Wells are two authors that I do not hesitate to read though. Even if I’m not in a romance kind of reading mood I love, love, love them!!!

  1. Terry Pratchett – 40+ Entire Discworld Series (over and over again)
  2. Dean Koontz – All
  3. Stephen King – All but his very recent stuff
  4. Phillipa Gregory – The Queens!
  5. Clive Barker – All
  6. JK Rowling – 7
  7. Mira Grant – 9
  8. Rick Gualitari – 6
  9. Tess Thompson – 5
  10. Nicky Wells – 7

This list just goes to show that I really need to start re-reading some of these fabulous authors! Sooner or later I shall.

Who are your top 10 most read authors?

His horror has calmed down quite a bit but it is still horror. My mother-in-law and I like to share books and she refuses to read his stuff. With good reason. It just doesn’t work for everyone! I grew up reading him, Anne Rice, and Clive Barker so it’s all great to me!

      Thanks for stopping by!

I was going through the Discworld list and found a few I haven’t read! So exciting!

I didn’t know until recently but she has little books that tie in with the Feed trilogy. They are horrifying but so good! Read them during the day!

I have read so many Dean Koontz I remember going to the library and checking out what I thought were new books, only to find I had already read them, lol. I need to read some Phillipa Gregory, his novels keep showing up and they sound so good. Great list!

Me too! I think they changed a few covers over the years. Intensity is my favorite but it’s too scary to re-read!

Some great authors there! I really need to read some more Stephen King!
I’ve never read any Terry Pratchett but I definitely want to, I’m gonna try to get round to it at some point but my TBR pile is ridiculous!

Terry Pratchett’s writing is so lovely! I just can’t get enough. I have the same problem though. So many books, so little time 😕

I haven’t read the non Discworld ones! I really need to get on that. Stephen King has always been a master of writing so I’m excited that he’s still getting more work out. I can’t even write one!

He’s my love! No, he doesn’t know it yet! 😉 I just love that I grew up reading this amazing author and he’s still kicking them out. It’s crazy!
