Each week, choose three books, you can choose however you want (I am choosing books that are being published that week), make it easy for your three books. Then put those three books into the categories:
- Take on vacation
- Take to bed
- Put onto your TBR forever
I’m going to start posting these on Wednesday with a link up if you want to join in on the fun! I’m really excited about it and think it will get us talking about why we want to (or not) read books!

Meet Mikey, every girl’s best friend – he bakes the creamiest cheesecake, loves movie nights and is a great dance partner.
For Jasmine, Mikey is the perfect flatmate – he owns a 50s diner that turns out the best food around, gives the best bear hugs and amazing romance advice – after all they’re scoping out the same hot guys! So when her boyfriend proposes in the worst possible way, Jazz knows her best friend will be there to pick up the pieces with gourmet popcorn, Pinot sleepovers and a shoulder to lean on.
But Mikey isn’t about to let Jasmine give up on love, and he’s ready to do whatever it takes to mend her broken heart – even if it means helping the one person who sees him as the enemy…

It’s open war between the Families of Power and the Tabérin. Two ancient races, witch and vampire, are locked in a deadly battle, and Kat Chanter, descendant of both warring bloodlines, is the only hope for peace …
With the fate of two races resting on her shoulders, Kat is determined to make the best of her forced visit to her grandmother Imara’s Napa compound, and learn all she can about the Families of Power and her newly discovered witch heritage. But she quickly learns that Imara’s word can’t be trusted. Prejudice runs deep in the old coven leader, and her grandmother remains committed to a war with the Tabérin that Kat would do anything to stop.
But Imara’s war isn’t the only threat to the fragile balance between the races that has endured for centuries. Fanatical factions within the European covens plot to resurrect an ancient power best left sleeping, and the new Vodas is building his dynasty on the backs of a personal guard willing to fight to the death to give him what he wants.
With the unsolved murder of a young witch boy raising as many questions as answers, Kat is discovering blood is the key to everything, including the new Vodas’s subjection of his sworn elite.
In this world, blood is power. But blood can betray you.
An urban fantasy full of vampires, werewolves and shapeshifters, which is perfect for fans of Cassandra Clare’s Mortal Instruments and Julie Kagawa’s Blood of Eden series.
This is a full length novel. Dark Child (Bloodsworn): Omnibus Edition bundles together Dark Child (Bloodsworn) Episodes 1-5.
Recommended Dark Child reading order is:
Dark Child (The Awakening) Omnibus Edition
Dark Child (Covens Rising) Omnibus Edition
Dark Child (Bloodsworn) Omnibus Edition
- Dark Child gets to come with me on vacation. This sounds like a fun paranormal romance with lots of background. Vacation would also mean time to catch up on the series!
- Just Haven’t Met You Yet Taking this to bed! It sounds cute! A bit different from the regular romance reads that I come across.
- How to Get Hitched in Ten Days gets put onto the TBR. This sounds like it could be cute but I’m not buying it any time soon.
